There are two parts of my design. The building sit on the cliff is a space re presents the tension and anxiousness of the lady in the painting. As you can see from the appearance. a rigied form with irregular vertical slots and the mareial is concrete. All these elements are trying to indicates the stress, the negative emotions. About the interior, all these diagnal walls create unbalanced spaces it is shows the uncertainty. Its also refering to the painting view though a door, you can only see part of next space in the volume.

The building above the sea supporting by the columns is a room for conversation and music playing. Its a space for her to express and healing the negative emotions. The material i chose is timber. Its because this volume let her feel free, and confortable. To enjoy the surrounding enviroments. The huge window introduce the ocean view into the building. The slope roof refering to the to the topography. These mess columns says even her find a way to relesse. however, under that, in her heart its also the anxiousness of her lover.

idea and design concept

This is a toilet in Japan. When i saw the girl in this kind of space really mke me ANXIOUS. Thus i got the ider of my interior.

The painting by Vermmer take a view though the door, it let us focus on two figours in this painting. The two painting above is sort of trying to show that the mistress is anxious of the reunion of her lover who has sailed away for business. And the music playing is also indicates the theme of love. Thus, I came up of my narritives:

The woman is in tension and is anxious in the eagerness of the reture of her husband. Only friends and music could balance her mood in the room.
